Privacy notice
How we use the information you give us through this website.
Who we are
The Prius Centre London Ltd, trading as The Prius Centre, 5 Constable Crescent, London N15 4QZ, is the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about it at [email protected] or on 020 3218 0077.
What we collect and why
- Booking requests: your name, phone number, email, the vehicle registration and details, the service you want, your preferred time, the collection postcode and anything you tell us in the notes. We use them to arrange and carry out the work you asked for. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing it.
- Vehicle details: when you enter a registration, we may look it up with the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service to show the make, colour, year, fuel type and MOT due date. This is part of handling your booking.
- Messages: your name, contact details and message, used to answer you. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries.
- MOT reminders: only if you tick the box, we use your contact details and your vehicle's MOT due date to remind you before it runs out. The lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by telling us or using the opt-out in a reminder.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. It is held by the companies that host this website and send our emails, under contracts that only allow them to process it for us. Vehicle lookups go to the DVLA. We may share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Booking and job records are kept for as long as we need them for the work, our warranty obligations and our accounting and legal duties, normally six years. Messages that do not lead to a booking are deleted after twelve months. MOT reminder details are kept until you opt out or they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Contact us using the details above. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
